BT FFFP 6%
BT FFFP 6% is a high-performance Film Forming Fluoro Protein Foam Concentrate specially developed for effective and reliable fire suppression in demanding industrial environments. The formulation combines hydrolysed proteins, advanced preservatives, and carefully selected fluorinated surfactants to deliver superior firefighting performance and long-term stability. The advanced blend of fluorochemicals significantly reduces both the surface tension of water and the interfacial tension between water and fuel. This enables the foam to form a stable aqueous film over the fuel surface, rapidly suppressing flames and delivering faster extinguishing performance compared to many conventional synthetic foam compounds. The inclusion of protein in the formulation creates a thick, highly visible foam blanket with exceptional burn-back resistance. This protective layer effectively seals the fuel surface, minimizes vapour release, and helps prevent re-ignition after the fire has been extinguished. BT FFFP 6% is suitable for use with both fresh water and seawater at the recommended proportioning rate. It can also be prepared and stored as a 6% premixed solution using fresh or potable water, offering greater flexibility for firefighting systems and emergency response operations.
BT FFFP 6% Foam Concentrate will provide quality protection for a wide range of hazardous areas such as:
- Airport Crash Fire Rescue
- Aircraft Hanger Fire Protection Systems
- Military Equipment Bases
- Truck/Rail loading or unloading facilities
- Docks/Marine tankers
- Flammable liquid containment areas
- Mobile equipment
